Upper King, restaurants, and the closest walk to MUSC. The single most practical address for a medical stay.

College of Charleston on one end, Hampton Park on the other. Residential, walkable, less expensive than south of Broad.
East Cooper
Mount Pleasant
Over the Ravenel Bridge. Space, parking, good schools, and Sullivan's Island fifteen minutes further.
West
West Ashley and James Island
The practical side of town. Ten minutes to downtown, twenty to Folly, and rents that are not a joke.
North
North Charleston and Daniel Island
Boeing, the base, and the airport. If your guest is working out here, do not put them downtown.
